Error Code for Canon MP 258 Printer and How to Overcome It

Canon MP258 Printer Code Error and How to Overcome:

The MP258 Error Code has 2 types of codes, namely:
Using the front letter P
Using the front letter E
A. Canon MP258 Error Code P:

  • P02 (Carriage Error)
    Solution:
    Make sure there are no objects stuck in the roll printer.
    Clean and check the encoder, who knows if you get ink splashes.
  • P03 (Line Feed Error)
    Cause: Disk Timing is dirty / damaged.
    Solution:
    Check the timing disk sensor on the left side of the printer, continue with

  • P05 (ASF Sensor Error)
    Cause: Canon MP258 error detection sensor.
    Solution:

Try changing one of the following spare parts:
ASF / PE sensor unit.

  • P06 (Internal Temperature Error):

    Cause: The Canon MP258 EEPROM board experienced Corrupt or damaged.

  • P20 (Other Hardware Error)
    Cause: other hardware damage
    Solution:

  • P22 (Scanner Error)
    Cause: the scanner does not work
    Solution:
    Replace the Canon MP258 Printer scanner

    B. Canon MP258 E Error Code:
  • E04: Canon MP258 cartridge is not installed properly.
    Solution:
    Remove the MP258 cartridge and install it again
  • E05: Canon MP258 cartridge is not installed properly or one of the cartridges is damaged
    Solution:
    Unplug the cartridge and install it again, if it is still broken, check the cartridge is usually damaged
    Change the cartridge if something is broken
  • E14 and E15: Canon MP258 cartridge is not installed properly.
    Solution:
    Remove the MP258 cartridge and install it again
  • E13 and E16: Ink has run out / cartridge request to be reset.
    Solution:
    Press the STOP / Reset button for 5 to 15 seconds waiting for the LED display to proceed.
